The drilling department of Ukrburgaz, a branch of JSC Ukrgazvydobuvannya, drilled 38% more in 4 months of 2025 than in the same period of 2024
This was announced by the acting general director of JSC "Ukrgazvydobuvannya" Serhiy Lahno at the XII International Oil and Gas Conference "Newfolk NCC", the company's press service said in a statement.
"In 4 months of 2025, 24 wells were put into operation. Unfortunately, we are also hostages of war: we have to not only extract gas, but also eliminate the consequences of the war. Russia is hitting the bottlenecks of our gas production. The process of restoring damaged infrastructure is not easy and requires special equipment and time," said Serhiy Lagno.
During his speech, the head of Ukrgazvydobuvannya Serhiy Lahno also noted that Ukrburgaz, a subsidiary of Ukrgazvydobuvannya, set another record for drilling. In January-April 2025, 38% more drilling was done than in the same period last year.
