The company lost 498 MW of installed generation capacity
The company "DTEK VDE" lost the largest installed generation capacity - 498 MW - to the Russian occupation. This is stated in the Forbes Ukraine article.
Three foreign companies "lead" in the share of lost energy business: Vindkraft, Emergy of Norwegian NBT and EuroCape of LongWing Energy. All their Ukrainian generating assets are occupied. In total, it is about 682 MW, writes Forbes.
Journalists of the publication note that in 2022, Russian troops occupied the territory where 16 GW of generating capacity was located. Of them, 13% was green energy. Currently, there are 13 wind power plants under occupation with a total capacity of over 1,300 MW and almost 80 solar plants with a capacity of 600 MW.
As "Ukrainian Energy" reported, DTEK will build energy storage facilities in Ukraine. The total capacity is expected to be 200 MW. This will be done to help build a safe and "green" energy system.
