Electricity consumption in Ukraine decreases on July 7

07 July 2025

At the same time, there is a need for economical consumption of electricity from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

According to the press service of NPC Ukrenergo, electricity consumption in Ukraine today, Monday, July 7, is showing a downward trend. As of 9:30 a.m., its level was 4.2% lower than the previous working day, Friday.

The reason for these changes is the establishment of cloudless weather throughout Ukraine, which ensures the efficient operation of household solar power plants (SPPs) and, accordingly, a reduction in energy consumption from the general network, explains the transmission system operator.

Yesterday, July 6, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 4% higher than the maximum of the previous Sunday, June 29. This was due to hot weather in all regions and the corresponding active use of air conditioners.

The country's energy system on July 7, according to the Ministry of Energy, is balanced, and no planned restrictions for consumers are foreseen.

At the same time, Ukrenergo emphasizes that during the evening peak consumption period - from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. - there is a need for economical electricity consumption. Consumers are urged not to turn on several powerful appliances at the same time during this time.

As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", on the previous working day, Friday, July 4, electricity consumption in Ukraine increased due to the heat. The increase in air temperature led to the active use of air conditioners by household consumers and businesses.
