Restrictions will apply to Russian defense industry enterprises and the occupation leadership of the Zaporizhzhia NPP
The US Treasury Department announced new sanctions against Russia on January 15. The list includes, among others, the Russian company Zaporizhzhia NPP and the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation.
This is stated on the US government website.
Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak wrote that several proposals of the McFaul-Yermak sanctions group were also taken into account. In particular, the list of restrictions included almost 100 entities - key enterprises, companies, foreign partners and individuals involved in supporting the Russian military industry, financial fraud and violation of sanctions regimes.
For example, banks involved in circumvention of restrictions have been sanctioned. Among them is Keremet Bank, a financial institution in Kyrgyzstan that collaborated with Russian officials to circumvent sanctions.
The following were also restricted:
- Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant” and its General Director V. Isaev is a structure created for the illegal management of the occupied Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant.
- Two subsidiaries of Rosatom: NPO Centrotech and Federal State Unitary Enterprise Mining and Chemical Combine.
- Over 25 Russian defense enterprises, such as the Serov Mechanical Plant, NNPO named after M.V. Frunze, Saransk Instrument-Making Plant.
- Foreign companies from China, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia, which supplied millions of shipments of goods to Russian sanctioned entities.
- There are about 30 Russian companies engaged in the purchase and distribution of sanctioned goods, chemicals for the production of ZALA drones.
- Viktorov, a lawyer who took over the assets of the Rotenbergs through international investments, and the companies associated with him, including another company Evocorp.
- Kozlov, deceased and beneficiary of part of Boris Rotenberg’s companies.
- Close to 25 metallurgical enterprises of the Russian Federation, Kamensk-Ural Metallurgical Plant, Terra Steel Group and Ceramax Group companies.
- Turkish shipyard KUZEY STAR SHIPYARD, which produced a floating dock for servicing nuclear power plants of the Russian Federation.
The sanctions are aimed at supporting the financial and technological capabilities of the Russian Federation to wage war and circumvent other restrictions.

As reported by Ukrainian Energy, the McFaul-Yarmak group proposed reducing the price of Russian naphtha to $30. The price has now been set to $60. Bo, on the transfer of the kerivnik to the Office of the President, “The cheaper the naphtha, the closer the world.”
