There were not enough votes in favor.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has withdrawn from consideration the bill on the completion of Khmelnytskyi NPP-3 and Khmelnytskyi NPP-4. This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
"The bill No. 11146 was the first on the agenda of the meeting for adoption as a basis," he wrote in his Telegram.
The reason for the withdrawal is the lack of the required number of "for" votes.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", the completion of the third unit will take 2.5-3 years, and the completion of the fourth unit - up to a year and a half.
Ukraine may lose a strategic asset if the 3rd and 4th power units of the Khmelnytskyi NPP are not completed. Yuriy Sapozhnikov, Chairman of the Board of JSC "Kyiv Research and Design Institute "Energoproekt", is convinced of this.
