As of present, the gas price in April at the border, including delivery, is close to $120 per thousand m3.
The concurrence of a number of extraordinary events pushes gas prices in Europe down, GTSOU CEO Serhii Makohon wrote on his Facebook page.
“Consumers will feel the decline of gas price. As of present, the gas price in April at the border, including delivery, is close to $120 per thousand m3. Therefore, the gas price inside the country will be approximately 4200 hryvnias including VAT,” he wrote.
Serhii Makohon noted that our neighbors (Moldova) can also take advantage of the price decline for the benefit of their own consumers. If the supply comes from the EU via Ukraine, the price at the entrance to Moldova will be $134.
“This is 33% less than the current supply price from Gazprom. Given Moldova’s consumption rate of 8 million m3 per day, the monthly savings may amount to $9.6 million,” GTSOU CEO wrote.
It is worth reminding that on 1 March 2020, Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine LLC and Slovak gas-TSO Eustream a.s. launched virtual reverse operation via Veľké Kapušany – Uzhhorod interconnector.
