The agency's mission will continue its work in Ukraine
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has no intention of leaving Ukraine after a Russian drone attacked its mission convoy in the Zaporizhia region.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing several sources on the Ukrainian side.
"They have no such plans yet," said one of the interlocutors.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", on the evening of December 10, a Russian drone attacked an IAEA convoy in Zaporizhia. The strike was carried out on one of the vehicles in the convoy. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries.
This attack requires a clear and decisive response from both the IAEA and other international partners; silence or inaction will only encourage further crimes, stressed the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko stated that the aggressor's actions against the Ukrainian energy sector require a decisive response from the international community. He announced that he had initiated an extraordinary meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors, which will be held on December 12 in Vienna.
