Once again, one of the two power transmission lines connecting the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP with the unified power system of Ukraine was disconnected due to shelling by the Russian military. This happened today, Friday, December 20, Energoatom reports.
"Today, again due to enemy shelling, the Zaporizhzhia NPP remained on the same power line with the Ukrainian power system. Energy workers will begin restoring the power line to the Zaporizhzhia NPP as soon as the security situation allows. Safe operation of the Zaporizhzhia NPP is possible only under the control of Ukraine," said Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", the last time the ZNPP was on the verge of a blackout was on November 21. Then, due to shelling by Russian troops, one of the two power lines was cut off.
