Lviv Insulator Plant is the only manufacturer in Ukraine of glass insulators, which are critical for the functioning of the energy infrastructure
The Asset Tracking and Management Agency (ARMA), in cooperation with the Bureau of Economic Security (BEB), has secured the transfer of the Lviv Insulator Plant (LIZ) to the management of NPC Ukrenergo. This was reported by the ARMA press service.
"The signing of the acceptance and transfer certificates took place on the territory of the enterprise as part of a working trip of representatives of the Agency's central office, led by Deputy Head of ARMA Stanislav Petrov, to the western region of Ukraine," the agency said in a statement.
It is noted that the transfer of the asset was carried out in accordance with the order of the Government of Ukraine using the mechanism provided for in Article 21-1 of the Law on ARMA, which allows transferring objects important to the state to management under a special procedure.
"This is a concrete example of how Article 21-1 of the Law on ARMA works. We ensure the transfer of critically important assets that are of strategic importance for national security, in particular in the energy sector. Ukrenergo, as a state-owned enterprise, guarantees effective asset management, job preservation, and stable revenues to the state budget," noted Ihor Chuloy, Director of the Asset Management Department of ARMA.
Lviv Insulator Plant is a unique enterprise – the only manufacturer in Ukraine of glass insulators, which are critical for the functioning of the energy infrastructure. This is especially relevant in times of war, when the plant's products are used to restore damaged power grids.
As reported by "Ukrainian Energy", more than 70 settlements in the Cherkasy region were left without electricity due to shelling. On the night of January 28, Russian drones attacked an energy facility in the Cherkasy region.
